Christmas 2025 is creeping up fast – only about five weeks to go! To make sure your orders land on the doorstep before the big fella in the red suit does (or at least a few days earlier so you’ve got time to wrap and stick them under the tree), here’s the full rundown of Australia Post’s final posting dates.

Heads up: These are the absolute last dates AusPost will accept parcels with a decent chance of arriving before 25 December. The earlier you order, the less stress for everyone – last year they shifted nearly 103 million parcels in Nov-Dec alone!

1. Domestic Parcels (Parcel Post – the regular one)

Same state (e.g. Sydney → Sydney, Brissy → Brissy): 22 Dec 2025

Interstate: anywhere from 16 Dec to 22 Dec depending on where it’s coming from and going to

2. Want it guaranteed before Christmas? Go Express Post

Major metro areas in NSW, VIC, QLD, SA, ACT: 23 Dec 2025

WA, TAS, NT: 22 Dec 2025

3. Christmas cards & regular letters

Same state: 18 Dec 2025

Interstate: 16 Dec 2025

4. Sending overseas (mates or family abroad)

NZ, UK, Europe, USA: Express still accepted up to 15 Dec in most cases

Asia: 9–15 Dec depending on service

Economy Air? You needed to post by late November, sorry!

Tips from the BONGSnPIPES crew

Order as early as you can – ideally before 10 Dec – so we’ve got plenty of time to pack everything nicely. Want it in your hot little hands by 20 Dec for wrapping? Get your order in by 10–12 Dec. Tick the Express Post box at checkout if you’re cutting it fine (only a few bucks extra, total peace of mind).
